In 2012 with the leadership of one of the Garden’s Master Gardener volunteers, a large Chartres replica labyrinth was installed in what was formerly a turf grass demonstration area. The site now offers visitors an opportunity for meditative and spiritual contemplation in a beautiful outdoor setting. Surrounding the labyrinth is a collection of award winning iris. The Dykes Award is one of the highest honors given to iris breeders from the American Iris Society judges. Our collection consists of most winners from 1927 to the present and is a riot of color in early May.
