This parcel of land beside the Center’s main building has grown from its beginnings as the Plateau Discovery Gardens to become a demonstration garden designed for visitors and residents of the Plateau. It is a collaborative effort of the Plateau AgResearch and Education Center, UT Extension Cumberland County, and the Cumberland County Master Gardeners.
Open: Daylight hours, 365 days of the year!
Walking Tours: Open the birdhouse near the deck area for a copy of the visitors guide and map. This brochure will tell you about each garden theme and horticulture trials included in the Gardens. Help yourself to other informational handouts as well.
Guided Tour: To schedule a guided tour of the Gardens, or a combination tour including the UT Plateau AgResearch and Education Center, please call the office at 931-484-0034.
To maintain the integrity of the Gardens and the research conducted here, please take only photographs and leave only footprints.
