Kitchen Garden

Created in 2010, the UT Gardens Kitchen Garden is a .25 acre edible plant collection within the UT Gardens. The garden consists of 55 raised beds. The display showcases sustainably raised seasonal vegetables, herbs, small fruits and cut flowers. Produce is harvested for donation to area food banks.

Our Kitchen Garden is a dynamic display of how production can be beautiful! Each season the garden changes completely with beds re-planted and new varieties tested. Look for All-America Selection Winners and tried and true favorites. You may also spot student and faculty research.

Below, you’ll find pdfs with a bit of information about our current and upcoming planting plans. Keep in mind that these are subject to change, individual plant success, and more. It’s possible that plants you see in the garden are not represented here and vice versa. If you have questions, reach out to our team at utgardens@utk.edu.
