Image Galleries: Entrance/Friendship Plaza

A tour of the UT Gardens begins upon entering the “Friendship Plaza” which is named in recognition of the contribution and cooperation between the University and the Friends of the UT Gardens. Based on the winning student design of an advanced landscape design class competition, the Plaza serves as the gathering place for groups and individuals coming to the Gardens. An information wall is a prominent feature with UT Gardens information, brochures, and membership applications. The curved donor wall recognizes significant benefactors to the Gardens and is made of Tennessee marble. The Plaza provides an outstanding overview of the entire Gardens and is surrounded by an outstanding collection of specimen trees and shrubs accented with seasonal color.
